The use of dictionary pocket book is still very minimal, even though this media is needed to make it easier for teachers to convey knowledge and make it easier for students to understand English vocabulary especially synonym and antonym. Therefore, the researcher developed an English dictionary pocket book for intermediate class using R&amp;D research design. The development model used was S. Thiagarajan development with four stages of procedures. The results of this research and development were: 1) The development of dictionary pocket book through several stages of development, namely: define, design, develop, disseminate. 2) The feasibility of the product is declared by the validation of material expert with an average of five with a percentage of 100% and included “very decent” category. The result of validation from the language expert with an average of 4.5 with a percentage of 90% and included “very decent” category. The result of validation from the design expert with an average of 4.25 with a percentage of 80% and included “very decent” category. As well as the results from the validation of students’ perception in the initial were 82.4% increased to 91.5% and include “very decent” category. Based on the results of this research that has been mentioned, it can be concluded that the dictionary pocket book of synonyms and antonyms is very decent and suitable to be used by the students in intermediate class.

This reserach is supposed to develop Daily Expressions Pocket book for teaching speaking skill at The eighth grade of Mts Al-Mushawwir. The formulation of this research was “How can a suitable daily expressions pocket book be developed for teaching speaking skill at the Eighth grade of Mts AlMushawwir?” this research aimed to develop daily expressions pocket book in teaching speaking skill at the eighth grade of Mts Al-Mushawwir. The research design used in this research was Research and development (R&amp;D). The development model was used Borg &amp; Gall with 10 steps of procedures and simplified into 5 steps consists Need analysis, product development, product validation and revision, product trials, validation of responses from students, and the final product. As the product of this research five daily expressions topics were developed through the students’ daily expressions pocketbook. The instrument used in this research were a questionnaire and documentation. And the students’ try out focuses on their perception towards the product. Therefore, the result showed that regarding the experts’ validation and the try out on the students’ perception. Content expert with a percentage of 94% included “Very feasible” category, from design expert with a percentage of 100% with category “Very Feasible.” The result from the validation of student responses in the first trial were 92% in “Very Feasible” category, then the second trial were 97% included “Very Feasible” category. Based on the results of this research, it can be concluded that daily Expressions pocket book at the Eighth grade of Mts Al-Mushawwir is very feasble to use as teaching and learning process.

The study aimed to find out the effect of pop-up book on students’ vocabulary mastery at Language Boarding House of Salafiyah Syafi’iyah Sukorejo. Vocabulary mastery is important for students in learning all of the language. In other words, the more vocabulary students have the easier for the students to communicate. The researcher used quantitative as the method with preexperimental one group pre-test and post-test designed. The sample of this study consisted of 26 students of intermediate class. The researcher used pre-test and posttest to collect the data. The research finding showed that the use of pop-up book gave a significant effect on students’ vocabulary mastery. The result of calculating paired sample t-test showed that the value of sig. (2-tailed) &lt; 0.05. it means that pop-up book is effective on students’ vocabulary mastery.

This research aims to develop a Word Game Book product to teach vocabulary at the English Language Education Institute (LPBI) of Zainul Anwar Islamic Boarding School. This research used the R&amp;D (Research and Development) method or development research to produce a product. This product development adapts the Borg &amp; Gall model that has been simplified, namely from the stages of Need Analysis, Product Development, Expert validation &amp; Revision, Product TryOut &amp; Revision, and Final Product. The instruments used in this research are questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. The population and sample of this study were 22 basic class students and one English tutor at the English Language Education Institute (LPBI) of Zainul Anwar Islamic Boarding School. The results of the validation by the content expert were 98% in the “very proper” category. In addition, the validation results by design expert were 100% in the “very proper” category. The result of the try-out was 96% by students in the “very proper” category. It can be concluded that the Word Game Book is very proper for teaching English Vocabulary at the English Language Education Institute (LPBI) of Zainul Anwar Islamic Boarding School.
