Redesain Sekolah Dasar Negeri (SDN) Tlogosari 2 dengan Konsep Arsitektur Modern

Abstract

Tlogosari 2 State Elementary School (SDN) is an educational institution that has an important role in forming the basis for children's education in the local environment. However, the current physical and functional conditions of school buildings do not fully support optimal learning needs. This research aims to redesign Tlogosari 2 Elementary School by applying modern architectural concepts to create a learning environment that is more effective, comfortable and in line with current developments in educational needs. This research methodology involves analyzing the condition of existing buildings, studying literature on modern architecture, as well as consulting with various related parties, including teaching staff and students. The design concept carries modern architectural ideas that prioritize functionality over decorative ornaments. The modern design approach applied in this research is the application of vertical and horizontal lines, modern materials, and little ornamentation. This concept includes simple design, natural lighting, good ventilation, and the latest materials. The application of this modern architectural approach is expected to improve physical quality and encourage students' academic and social development. With this redesign, it is hoped that SDN Tlogosari 2 will not only become a comfortable place to study, but also become a space that facilitates optimal creative and intellectual development of students and becomes a model for other schools in efforts to improve the quality of education through modern and sustainable architectural design.
