The Effect of Aladdin Movie on Students’ Speaking Skill at the Grade Intermediate in Syu’batul Lughah Alkhairiyah, Ma’hadul Qur’an Dormitory Female, Sukorejo Situbondo
Abstract
Speaking is a complex skill and cannot be learned in isolation. This research attempted to find out the effect of Aladdin movie. Aladdin movie have a unique plot with an easy literary style and easy to understand, especially for Intermediate class. This research used pre-experimental method with one-group pre-test post-test design. Subject of this research is used saturated sampling by the total 15 students of Intermediate class of Syu’batul Lughah Al-Khairiyah. The research data collection is and T-test and documentation. The test carried out are normality and T-Test. the value of descriptive analysis was a raising value which the mean of post-test score (82,00) is higher than pre-test result (64,67). Furthermore, the value of t-test is 11.930 with Sig. (2 tailed) 0,000. In this matter, 0,000<0,05. In other words, H1 is accepted, which means there is an effect of Aladdin movie (X) on students’ speaking skill (Y).
