dc.description.abstractThe research aimed to find out the effect of English podcast videos on teaching speaking skill at the eighth grade of MTs NW Pendem. The researcher used a quantitative method especially pre-experimental research one group pre-test post-test design. The population of this research were 45 students. The sample of this research consisted of 23 students of the eighth A grade, and it used purposive sampling. The class was given speaking test in the pre-test and the post-test. The data collection technique was used speaking test. And the data analysis was used normality test, homogeneity test, linearity test and also T-test. The research finding showed that there was an effect of english podcast video on students' speaking skill as their learning media, which followed by the efforts of the teacher to create a pleasant learning environment. The score of descriptive analysis was increasing that the mean of post-test score (80,96) was higher than the pre-test score (62,87). Furthermore, the score of t-test was -18.459 with sig. (2 tailed) 0,000. In this matter, 0,000<0.05. This means, HI is accepted. So, it can be concluded there was an effect of English podcast videos on teaching speaking skill.en_US
