Implementation of Using Podcast to Improve Students’ Speaking Skill at Eight Grade of SMPN 2 Arjasa Situbondo
Abstract
This research aimed to improve the students’ speaking skill in English lesson by using podcast model. This research was conducted by using Classroom Action Research. The subject of this research was VIII grade of SMPN 2 ARJASA 2024- 2025 academic year which consisted of 29 students. The objective of this research was improving students’ speaking skill in English lesson by Podcast at Eight grade of SMPN 2 ARJASA. This Research was conducted in Pre-test and post-test and two cycle which each consist’ of planning, action, observation, and reflecting. The data were complete through Classroom Action Research data. This result of this research showed that was increasing of students in speaking skill. Collecting data method in this research was observation and test. The sample of this thesis was 29 students. The finding of this research indicated that the score of students in SMPN 2 Arjasa was good in speaking skill with the average level in cycle 2 was (96,55%). While the result of observation students’ activity at post-test 2 was (79,16%), it shown that there was positive and significant in this research.
