dc.description.abstractThis study aimed to find out how the students’ perception and teachers’ response on picture media in learning vocabulary in the VII-E grade of MTS NurutTaqwa. This study used qualitative description. Data collecting techniques used interview, observation, questioner, and documentation method. The data analysis techniques used data collection, data reduction, data display, and verification. The subject of this study was students in the VII-E grade and the informants for collecting the data were 5 students in class VII-E and English teacher of class VIIE. Many problems that faced in learning English language as the foreign language by students like: learning vocabulary was not easy that was difficult to memorize and the students felt anxious, bored with their lesson, they were not enthusiastic and students did not enjoy in learning process. The result of students’ perception of this study was: the using of picture media in learning vocabulary gave a good motivation for students, students were enjoyable, happy and easier to get and to know new vocabulary, students attracted to learn. The teachers’ response on picture media in the learning vocabulary was more fun, students were enjoyable in learning process, picture media improved students learning were more active and provided good progress in learning process and the teacher was more spirit and was happy in teaching and learning process because she can see the students were study well.en_US
